OREANDA-NEWS. During the first quarter of 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 741,292 passengers presenting an increase by 14.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. Passenger traffic on domestic routes totaled 418,528 passengers (+4.1%), on international routes – 322,764 passengers (+31%).

In March, 2013 monthly passenger traffic grew by 18.7% compared to the same period in 2012 and made up 267,318 passengers or 150,399 (+7.6%) and 116,919 (+36.8%) passengers on Domestic and International routes respectively.

For the first three months NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport registered 8,358 ATMs (+5.8%) including 3,044 ATMs in March (+7.3%).

The year-to-date (January-March) freight volume estimates 6,197 tons of cargo and mail (+7%), 2,486 tons of which (+9%) were handled in March only.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights – 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers and handle over 35 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
