OREANDA-NEWS. The success of Hefei-Bangkok charter tourism projects has triggered the development of outbound tourism charter services in Anhui. Tourism projects to South Korea and Southeast Asian countries are also under way.

The number of tourists signing up to participate in Hefei-Bangkok tourism projects has risen exponentially over the past five months. Since last October, charter flights per month have increased from five to 12. Still, the expansion is not enough. According to Zhang Guanghui, marketing director of Anhui Youth Travel Agency, his company has sent 6,000 tourists to Thailand to date.

Other agencies have also developed similar outbound projects, such as projects to Jeju Island in South Korea and other Southeast Asian countries.

The pressure to attract tourists is growing thanks to the development of these outbound tourism projects. Flight occupancy is becoming increasingly important to travel agencies, not airlines. As a result, travel agencies are striving to maintain occupancy rates by highlighting regional features.
