Lenovo announced that the IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC, winner of more than 14 awards at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show, will be available for purchase via Lenovo’s website (www.lenovo.com) beginning April 16 in the U.S. The Horizon will hit retail shelves in late June. As the leading interpersonal computing device, the Horizon Table PC brings people together in a totally new way, allowing up to four people to use it simultaneously, interacting with content and playing games with joysticks, strikers and e-dice.

Nearly half of people Lenovo surveyed recently spend a considerable amount of time playing PC games and using apps with their families each week. Horizon fills a need to connect families around one device for a truly shared computing experience over the solitary computing nature of most other devices.

Horizon’s supersized touch screen and dynamic graphics connects people like never before. Just lay Horizon flat in Table PC mode to activate the Aura interface and begin interacting with other people and favorite content, from photos and videos to apps and games. Horizon’s multitouch screen makes playing customized games including Ubisoft’s Raiding Company, Draw Race 2 and King of the Opera and Electronic Art’s Monopoly fun.

Horizon comes preloaded with games from Bluestacks with additional access to thousands more for download. It offers a library of Lenovo games such as Air Hockey as well asStagelight digital music creation software for budding musicians. To bridge the physical and the digital worlds, Horizon comes with a special set of on-the-glass accessories including an e-dice and up to four joysticks and strikers (no batteries required) for a different kind of game play. And with one press of a button, users can rotate the screen 180 degrees to easily show others forward-facing content.
