OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines starts to operate flights to New York from Vnukovo International Airport.

Flights are scheduled five times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and since 20th of May flights will have been operated daily. Flight UN 1111departs from Moscow at 10:50 am and arrives to New York at 12:15, return flight UN 2222 departs from New York City at 14:25 and arrives at 07:30 to Vnukovo. All times mentioned are local times. The flights will be carried out on comfortable Airbus or Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777-200 out of the new high-tech terminal building of the Vnukovo International airport.

The inauguration dedicated to the first flight to North America from the Vnukovo airport was attended by Mr. Alexander Ignatov, the Deputy Director General of Transaero airline, and by Mr. Gennady Proschikin, head of the Vnukovo terminal building.

As Mr. Alexander Ignatov, the Deputy Director General of Transaero airline, stated, "the first flight to New York fr 1ffc om Vnukovo Airport is a significant event. We have started the active phase of the project development hub at Vnukovo airport and since the summer schedule we will open more than 30 new destinations. Vnukovo Airport allows us to provide convenient connections".

"We are very pleased that such a large-scale Russian air carrier as Transaero airlines starts flights from Vnukovo airport to New York," - said Mr. Gennady Proschikin, head of the Vnukovo terminal building.

"It is very nice and unexpected that we were first passengers of the first flight. We feel that Transaero and Vnukovo take care of us ", - said Olesya Goncharova, the first passenger at flight check-in. She goes to New York with her friends, it was not their first that they flew from Vnukovo and they always appreciated it’s comfort and the fact that airport is really close to Moscow. First passengers received gifts from Vnukovo Airport and Transaero airlines.
