OREANDA-NEWS. According to Domodedovo Airport results for March 2013, passenger traffic increased by 19.0% compared to March 2012 and amounted to 2.2 million travelers. The overall flights number for February 2013 grew by 7.6% and totaled 19.8 thousand takeoff and landing operations.

The largest passenger traffic growth recorded in domestic airlines (DAL) adding + 21.4% to March 2012; reaching 930 thousand passengers.

International passenger traffic for March 2013 grew by 17.4% compared to March 2012 and amounted to 1.3 million travelers.

Domodedovo freight traffic for March 2013 reached 16.7 thousand ton that is 3.7% higher compared to March 2012.

According to the first quarter 2013 results, Domodedovo passenger traffic amounted to 6.1 million people. Passenger traffic increased (+16.3%) compared with the same period in 2012. Flights number grew by 7.2% and amounted to 56.6 thousand takeoff and landing operations.

January-March 2013 passenger traffic results on domestic routes totaled 2.6 million passengers that +20.0% higher than for three months of the last year. The utmost growth recorded on the following internal directions: Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Rostov-on-Don, Mineralnye Vody, Saint Petersburg. Passenger traffic on these directions reached 599 thousand people, that 35.7% higher than for first quarter of the last year.

International passenger traffic for the first quarter of the current year totaled 3.6 million people. (+ 13,8% to January-March 2012). The highest growth was recorded on the following international routes: Hurghada, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Kiev, Munich, Yerevan. In January-March 2013 672 thousand passengers were transported for the mentioned directions, that by +53,3% higher compared to 2012.

Domodedovo airport freight traffic for first quarter of 2013 increased by 7.6% compared to the same period of 2012 year and totaled 43.3 thousand ton.
