OREANDA-NEWS. NTT Communications Corporation announced that it has received an order from SAKURA TOWER, an office building in Yangon, Myanmar, for information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and support to enable SAKURA TOWER to provide tenants with a high-quality Internet environment. NTT Com will begin accepting applications from tenants on May 1.

NTT Com will provide customer support in English, Burmese and Japanese. Network monitoring will be offered on a 24-hour basis, and any network failure will be promptly restored by NTT Com or reported to the appropriate local ISP.

Infrastructure will be backed by highly reliable redundant networks both inside the building and between SAKURA TOWER and domestic ISPs. Backup networks will assure customers of minimized impact on their businesses if the main network ever goes down.

Myanmar has been emerging as a new market and production base since the country returned to civilian rule in March 2011. Although multinational companies are expanding their business activities in the country, the underdeveloped ICT environment has created a strong demand for stable ICT services. NTT Com launched a branch office in Yangon in October 2012 to provide international networks, system integration, security and other ICT solutions services.
