OREANDA-NEWS. The government of Belarus has approached OJSC Belarusbank with a proposal to provide a series of loans worth Br1.277 trillion (USD 147.642 million) for farms controlled by Machulischi Agribusiness Centre.

Credit resources with an interest rate equal to the NBB refinancing rate plus a 9% margin are required to turnaround maintenance projects, purchase of new equipment and machinery.

In turn, the government will provide reimbursement for credit interest payments.

Established in 2004, Machulischi Agribusiness Centre controls 17 entities, which produce tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet pepper, onions in a greenhouse environment. They also produce pork, beef, poultry, grow potatoes, cabbages, apples and breed certain fish species.
