OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 600 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) (USD 68.97 million at the NBB rate) in January-February 2013, or 0.7% of GDP, an official with the Finance Ministry told reporters.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 14.93 trillion rubles (USD 1.72 billion) in January-February 2013, or 12.3% of the target for the whole year.

Republican budget expenditures reached 14.36 trillion rubles (USD 1.65 billion), 11.8% of the target for 2013.

Revenues from the value-added tax amounted to 9.1 trillion rubles (USD 1.046 billion, 15.3% of the year target), from income tax – Br800 billion (USD 91.95 million, 2.7%), from foreign economic activities 3.4 trillion rubles (USD 390.8 million), 11.3% of the target.

Revenues of the Labour and Welfare Ministry’s social security fund (SSF) are estimated at Br11.5 trillion (USD 683.66 million, 8.4%).

Tax arrears totalled Br215.5 billion (USD 24.8 million), down by Br17.3 billion (USD 1.99 million) in January-February 2013.
