OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 3.5% on the year in January-March 2013 to 123.31 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 14.29 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-March 2013 increased 1.1% on the year to Br154.59 trillion (USD 17.91 billion).

Farm output rose 2.5% to Br14.13 trillion (USD 1.64 billion).

The government plans to see the GDP grow 8.5% in 2013.

In 2012, Belarus’ GDP grew 1.5% on the year to 527.4 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 61.4 billion).
