OREANDA-NEWS. As part of the spring session of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank held on 18-19 April, 2013 in the city of Washington, Vnesheconombank’s delegation participated in a series of bilateral meetings and a number of events. The delegation was headed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev.

Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman, Member of the Board Alexandr Ivanov held talks with International Bank for Reconstruction And Development Vice President Philippe Le Houerou and Chief Executive Officer of the International Finance Corporation Jin-Yong Cai. They discussed issues of stepping up cooperation on projects being prepared and being implemented by the World Bank in the in the Russian Federation including in housing and communal services sector, energy efficiency, environmental protection, infrastructure and innovations.

V. Dmitriev also held a working meeting with European Investment Bank (EIB) President Werner Hoyer. At their meeting they discussed cooperation between EIB and Vnesheconombank as part of the Memorandum of Understanding “Russia-EU: Partnership for Modernization” signed in June of 2011 and providing for the joint funding of projects aimed at supporting SMEs, energy efficiency, construction and modernization of infrastructure as well as environmental protection.

At a meeting between Vnesheconombank Chairman V. Dmitriev and US Ex-Im Bank President Fred Hockberg they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation as well as an initiative to create a Club of G20 Member Countries Leading National Development Institutions and Export Credit Agencies.

Vladimir Dmitriev also participated in the meeting between the Russian Finance Minister and the US Finance Secretary.
