OREANDA-NEWS. OMZ Special Steels, a part of OMZ Group, successfully passed certification procedures for carbon, alloy and stainless steels forgings used in shipbuilding conducted by Russian River Register (RRR). OMZ Special Steels received the Certificate of Recognition expiring April, 2015.

Russian River Register was established in Russia in 1913 and is a well known and competent certification authority promoting high standards and quality in shipbuilding, developing requirements for the industry and standards of technical durability.

The Certificate allows OMZ Special Steels to accomplish orders according to RRR’s requirements. That confirms high quality of OMZ Special Steels metallurgical blanks made for shipbuilding industry.

Shipbuilding is a traditional market for OMZ Special Steels. For more than 10 years the Company is confirming high quality of its blanks and remains a reliable supplier of metallurgical production for shipbuilding industry. OMZ Special Steels received the first RRR Certificate in 2003.
