First deputy head of the State Agency for Land Resources of Ukraine Artem Kadomstkyi presented the position of the land department of Ukraine concerning management of agricultural lands and development of land market, told in details about the state of affairs in the area of land relations in Ukraine during the Fifth international seminar LANDNET which was held in Skopje, Macedonia and dedicated to the development of land market and consolidation of land plots.

Nowadays, many candidate countries, potential candidate countries and EU neighboring countries are facing serious problems concerning forming the structure of agricultural lands. Weak institutional structures lead to unsatisfactory functioning of land markets, which hampers investments and creation of competitive rural areas.

Besides, undeveloped structure of land resources has different parameters. The network of Farmland came to the conclusion in 2007 that Europe had faced multiple problems in the process of creation of their stable structure of agricultural lands. Change of climate increases risks of environmental danger and places significant parts of environmental systems under threat. Land use and structure of land resources are important bases determining sustainability of territories in order to overcome outer changes. The mentioned problems are present in many countries, including the EU member states. Ukraine is not an exception. That’s why the world countries exchange with experience and unite in fight against new challenges of today. A vivid example appears the international seminar in Macedonia.
