OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2013. During his official visit to Belarus, Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov took part in bilateral talks in expanded format in Minsk.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of development of Kazakh-Belarusian relations in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technical spheres.

"We appreciate the integration of our countries, because our relations are developing quite rapidly in all directions," Akhmetov said. He also noted that "in the first place, this concerns the manufacturing industry, transportation industry, energy and communication sector."

In turn, Mikhail Myasnikovich assured that "Belarus will always strive to create comfortable working environment for Kazakh enterprises in the country, so that our cooperation may further strengthen."

The heads of government signed a protocol on the results of the talks and took part in the ceremony of signing bilateral agreements to strengthen cooperation in the field of international motor service, physical culture and sports, scientific cooperation, establishing joint Kazakh-Belarusian Industrial and Technological Park of agricultural and municipal machinery in Kokshetau.

At a briefing, the heads of government summed up the results of bilateral negotiations. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan said they "held constructive talks on the entire spectrum of cooperation, and discussed measures to increase trade."

"Special attention was paid to the execution of tasks set by the Heads of State and the implementation of the "Road Map". At present, our country has more than 20 service centers of Belarusian enterprises, 80 joint ventures, as well as the representations of different Belarusian enterprises. Belarus participates in 5 projects of the Industrialization Map of Kazakhstan," Akhmetov said.

"We believe that the potential of our cooperation is high and we must make every effort to use it more effectively. Our economies will benefit from it," he stressed.

Concerning the issues of cooperation in agriculture, Akhmetov said they discussed specific questions about the use of a wide experience of Belarus in the development of agriculture.

"We agreed on the establishment of a pilot experimental farm in one of the regions of Kazakhstan, which will apply the latest agro-technologies, so that they can be distributed among our agricultural enterprises," Akhmetov noted.

"We found the specific mechanisms to implement a large set of issues and I am confident that our bilateral relations will rise to an even higher level," the Prime Minister concluded.
