OREANDA-NEWS. Bashneft released preliminary operating results for the period from January through March 2013

In the first quarter of 2013, oil production at the Company’s fields amounted to 3,844 thousand tonnes, which is 0.1% higher than in the same period in 2012. In the first quarter of 2013, Bashneft’s average daily production totalled 42.7 thousand bbl/d, reaching a 17-year maximum.

During the period from January through March 2013, Bashneft’s refining complex processed 5,216 thousand tonnes of oil, achieving a 1.9% year-on-year increase. In the first quarter of 2013, average refining depth totalled 84.5%, which is slightly higher than in the same period in 2012. The share of light products increased to 60.2%.

In the first quarter of 2013, the output of commodities at Bashneft’s refineries added 2.8% and reached 4,695 thousand tonnes. A year-on-year increase in gasoline production totalled 4.5%. However, the share of Euro 3 gasoline in the total gasoline production fell to 5.3% from 34.1% in the first quarter of 2012. By contrast, the share of Euro 4 and Euro 5 gasoline increased to 94.7% from 43.2% in the first quarter of 2012. The share of Euro 4 and Euro 5 diesel fuel in the total production of diesel fuel increased to 25.8% from 21.2% during the period from January through March 2012.
