In the first quarter of 2013, the corporate online banking business of Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) presented strong growth momentum, with major indicators increasing rapidly. By the end of March, the number of corporate online banking customers amounted to 2,076,000.

The customer penetration rate of corporate online banking (the proportion of corporate online banking customers in total corporate customers) reached 68.8%, leading the peers.
In recent years, ABC has positioned customer size expansion as its basic task for developing corporate banking. By taking bank-enterprise reconciliation as an opportunity to expand the corporate online banking customer size, ABC continuously intensified its assessment on the conclusion rate of online banking reconciliation contracts and other indicators. It also selected some excellent branches to be examples for others and the result is satisfying. In less than two years, the number of corporate online banking customers jumped from one million to over two million.

It is said that while expanding business scale, ABC seizes the opportunities brought about by the digital revolution to develop its corporate online banking. It has accelerated its implementation of online financial innovation strategy, and effectively reinforced its basic functions such as account management, payment and settlement, agency collection and payment. It has also improved its strategic businesses including international business, cash management and investment and wealth management.

Moreover, ABC has continued to explore the huge potential of corporate online banking as a product sales platform. It is trying to build corporate online banking as one of the important channels for corporate banking sales, through advertising, information pushing, transaction guidance and other cross-selling approaches.
