OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2013. Citi has refreshed its Russia equity team in Moscow and London, as a part of the bank’s continuing focus on its global emerging markets equity business.

Alexei Bolshakov is named Head of Equities subject to successful completion of legal procedures. Alexei will be managing Citi’s Equity Sales and Trading teams in Moscow. He will serve as the main point of contact for major Russian corporates, and global and domestic investors in the Russian Equity markets. Alexei re-joined Citi in 2011 after 4 years as a Director at the Deutsche Bank Group. Alexei holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Denver (USA), and degree in International Law from the Academy of Public Administration (Belarus).

Citi also expanded its Russia trading team in London, hiring Alexander Fonarkov as a senior equity trader. He will report to Head of EM Trading, Gil Peleg. Alexander previously worked at Renaissance Capital where he was in charge of CEEMEA centralized risk book. Previously he worked at Fusion Asset Management as a Partner and portfolio manager, running global multi-asset volatility and macro trading strategies. Prior to joining Fusion, he was an Executive Director at JPMorgan and in charge of CEEMEA Cash Equity Trading. Alexander graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
