OREANDA-NEWS. With the approval of the State Council, China-Central and Eastern European leaders' Meeting  Chongqing 2013, which is co-hosted by Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, will be held at Chongqing Nanping International Convention & Exhibition Center in early July. The Meeting is another large-scale international meeting that selects Chongqing as the host city, following AAPP meeting, Asian-Pacific City Summit. The Meeting features the following four aspects: I, Large Scale. The Meeting has invited about 500 guests from home and abroad to participate in the 1,000-people meeting. II, High Level.

The Meeting in Chongqing will be attended by some important members of the governments of Central and Eastern European countries, national coordinators from 16 countries, mayors of capitals and major provinces and cities, Ambassadors to China, and enterprise leaders, as well as leaders from 10 central ministries and commissions of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C. and 16 provincial and municipal autonomous regions. III, Rich Content. The Meeting will consist of opening ceremony, business presentation & exhibition and economy and trade matchmaking, five special topic forums, visits, and closing ceremony. IV, Extensive Influence.

Selecting Chongqing as the host city of China-Central and Eastern European leaders' Meeting facilitates improvement of the international image and influence of Chongqing and promotes the construction of Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway Channel, thus creating a new situation for practical exchange and cooperation between Chongqing and Central and Eastern European countries.
