OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2013. According to national energy company Ukrenergo, DTEK Vostokenergo won the tender and got the access to inter-state power networks of Ukraine for export of power to Moldova in the period between June 1 and June 30.

DTEK Vostokenergo was the company that bought access to capacities of power networks of Ukraine of 350 MW of to export electricity to Moldova. Four lots of the capacities were sold at the initial price of UAH 1,000 each. Let’s remind that Moldova one of the largest consumers of Ukrainian electricity.

It is supplied DTEK Vostokenergo, a member of the largest Ukrainian private energy company DTEK, owned by well-known businessman Rinat Ahmetov. Moldova pays for Ukrainian electricity 6.9 cents per 1 kWh. In January-April, 2013 Moldova increased power import from Ukraine by 27.4% to 302.3 million kWh.

 In 2012 Ukraine supplied Moldova with 845.7 million kWh of power, 27.1% up as compared with 2011. In monetary terms, it was equal to USD52.7 million.
