OREANDA-NEWS.  In the 1st quarter of 2013 JSC "Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg" ("SP SPb") transferred 44.2 mln. rubles for the modernization of cargo terminals and port infrastructure.

Main part of the funds was transferred for leasing payments for equipment, purchased by the company within the programme on renovation of handling equipment fleet.

Besides, in order to increase environmental safety of handling of mineral fertilizers in the port the company started to re-equip the warehouse for general cargoes Nr. 36 for temporary storage.   In particular, works on assembly of ventilation and air treatment systems were performed, power supply to the warehouse was provided.

Also within the reporting period repairing works at the check-point were carried out.
