OREANDA-NEWS. The largest annual industrial conference, the 19th International Russian Pharmaceutical Forum, was held in Saint-Petersburg on May 21-23, 2013. The event attracted over 600 representatives of International and Russian manufacturers, distributors, retailers and governmental agencies. The Forum became a discussion board for open opinion exchange on various important topics concerning the pharmaceutical industry. This year the conference tagline was: “The revaluation of current business models and discovering the new successful growth strategies”. Vasily Ignatiev, CEO, R-Pharm, and Irina Osmolovskaya, Quality Director, R-Pharm, shared their opinions on growth supporting factors for pharmaceutical industry; existing efficient cooperation opportunities; specific features of pharmaceutical manufacturing; and establishing of unified quality standards.

Delegates paid special attention to pharmaceutical industry development; Russian regulatory environment; partnerships development; efficient satisfaction of local market demands; actual distribution and retail trends; and transformation of marketing and trade models.

Performing at the CEO section, Vasily Ignatiev presented the Russian pharmaceutical market outlook and shared his opinion on benefits of joint collaboration between Russian and International companies, mutually profitable forms of cooperation in R&D sphere and manufacturing. Irina Osmolovskaya, Quality Director, R-Pharm, shared her experience on GMP guidelines implementation into Manufacturing Site of Finished Dosage Forms and pointed out the most significant GMP implementation problems.
