OREANDA-NEWS. Sergei Koltovich, SKOLKOVO Executive MBA 3 graduate, and his spouse Evgenia Sabadyshina, SKOLKOVO Startup Academy 3 student, gathered SKOLKOVO business school’s students and graduates at a family occasion in the Zubovs’ estate. The guests were awaited by delicate dishes, an excursion around the estate and a concert of a chamber choir.

Traditionally concerts have always been an integral part of life in manorial estates. And that time the musical programme was really exclusive. The guests enjoyed first-class singing of Chamber choir under the guidance of Mr. Onegin. The choir performed Russia sacred compositions, jazz compositions of foreign authors and folk songs. An outstanding view on the traditional choir and diversified programme have found a broad response of the listeners, and for Evgenia Sabadyshina, the concert’s author, it was a successful presentation of her startup project.

In the evening the guests participated in an improvised charitable auction. There were lots presented in two different categories: lots provided by graduates connected with Russian history and culture and provided by the SKOLKOVO business school furniture. For instance, among the lots there were: a weekend in Kolomna with an individual excursion, a home concert of classical music, a standard lamp from the first SKOLKOVO dean Wilfried Vanhonacker, an apple-compass from Andrei Volkov, Dean of the SKOLKOVO business school etc. In the course of the auction about 350 thousand rubles have been gathered that will be spent on a grant for the SKOLKOVO Startup Academy and SKOLKOVO MBA programmes’ entrants.

By personal example Sergei Koltovich has shown how important the support of the student and alumni community is and encouraged his mates to actively contribute to the business school’s development as studying there has been an important stage in their lives. Gurvan Dersel, SKOLKOVO MBA 4 student, has confirmed his words: he actually won the grant provided by the SKOLKOVO Alumni Association and the SKOLKOVO Women Association last year.
