OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2013. In the course of an official visit to Finland Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, acting OCSE chair L.Kozhara has held a meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Jyrki Katainen.

The Prime Minister of Finland announced his country was interested in signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU during the Eastern Partnership Summit, which is to be held in Vilnius in November of the current year. 

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed about large-scale reforms carried out in Ukraine, including those directed to creating prerequisites for signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU.

During the event there were considered issues of stirring up a political dialog between Ukraine and Finland. Peculiar attention was also paid to deepening bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The parties stressed significant increase of amounts of Finnish investments into Ukraine’s economics last year, which on the estimates of both countries appears the proof that there exist significant opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
