"The development strategy for Alfa Capital’s retail business includes the expansion of partnerships with the leading commercial banks. We have a proactive approach to the development of our retail business and the promotion of funds which are likely to be attractive to potential clients. Today it is commonplace in international practice to attract higher volumes of investment through partner banks than via one’s own sales network. According to certain studies, more than 40% of all investment flows into international funds is originated through agent banks. We anticipate that in the near future Citibank will become one of our strategic partners. Citibank’s years of experience on the investment market, high level of professionalism and qualified personnel give us good reason to expect very impressive results from our cooperation. Through this partnership program we are offering our best investment strategies which have received professional awards1 and have clear competitive advantages," noted Irina Krivosheeva, CEO of Alfa Capital Asset Management.

"We are pleased to offer our clients another opportunity to strengthen and diversify their investment portfolios," noted Sergey Korotkov, Retail Banking Business Head at Citibank. "Alfa Capital Asset Management, one of the pioneers on the Russian asset management market, today offers high-quality products and is focused on providing world-class client service. Mutual funds remain a very relevant collective investment product in Russia, and this market is actively developing. We are confident that our clients will appreciate the advantages provided by our new partner".

Additionally, a Citibank consultant can provide recommendations to clients on the formation of a personal portfolio model and/or diversification of one’s existing portfolio based on the client’s risk profile and with guidance from the analytical reports of the bank’s stock and bonds specialists.
