OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. “Ritual” State Unitary Enterprise reported executing a determination issued by the Commission of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in Moscow (Moscow OFAS Russia) to eliminate an antimonopoly violation.

At the end of 2012, the Commission found that “Ritual” State Unitary Enterprise abused its market dominance (in breach of Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”) in providing family (ancestral) burial grounds for family in Moscow cemeteries. The company fixed different prices for the same goods without economic, technological, or other justification and created discriminatory conditions for the persons interested in obtaining family (ancestral) burial grounds.

“Moscow OFAS Russia obligated “Ritual” State Unitary Enterprise to not only clearly regulate the procedures for the services for creating family burial grounds and establishing the price for such a service, but also place the relevant information on its web-site, which was executed. To execute the determination, the company also stopped its discriminatory policy: earlier, all other things being equal, some customers paid 15,000 Rubles per plot, while others had to pay 300,000 Rubles. Now all customers are in clear, equal conditions”, commented Deputy Head of Moscow OFAS Russia, Olesya Milchakova.
