OREANDA-NEWS. Grand opening of the project "Meteorological Site for Young Khartsyzsk Forecasters" took place in the preschool division of the educational complex "Intelli-gence" No 25. It was one of five winners in the competition "Healthy Environment is Eve-ryone's Business" in the category "Eco-Home" and received financial support of Metinvest company in the amount of 20,000 to implement its environmental initiatives.

As a result of the project "Meteorological Site for Young Khartsyzsk Forecasters", in the territory of nursery school, a site for performing meteorological observations with children equipped with benches, mini-model of the weather station (with barometer, thermometer, anemometer, hygrometer, compass), weather vane, rain gauge and even sundial has been built. At the site, a few ornamental bushes and various kinds of flowers has been planted. Tthe parents who helped to install the equipment and green up took an active part in the implementation of the mini-project.

Representatives of KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT and town council, kindergarten teachers and children attended preschool were present at the event. Kids prepared for the guests a themed holiday program during which they studied to determine the weather together with fairy tale characters, sang songs, danced and recited poetry.
