OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, has always been committed to flora and fauna conservation. In recognition of these efforts, Tata Power’s power house No 6 gardens have won the second runner-up spot in the Tata Agrico Garden of the Year competition 2013.

The scenic Jojobera gardens also received an appreciation reward in the same competition. Tata Agrico Garden of the Year competition has been organised for the first time by Tata Steel’s urban services with JUSCO and the Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur. Amongst the 15 corporates which participated in the first Tata Agrico Best Garden Award, the power house No 6 garden won the second runner-up spot, whereas the Jojobera garden received the appreciation reward.

Speaking about the awards, DS Kudalkar, the station head of Jojobera said, “We are very happy to win the award and are proud of our team of gardeners at power house No 6 and Jojobera. It is through their dedication and hard work that this feat has been achieved.” The various categories in the competition were corporate houses, institutions, personal houses, bungalows, and apartment terraces. There were more than 160 participants in the competition, including government and corporate offices, academic institutions, etc.
