OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2013. Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has received Richard Schenz, Vice President of Austrian Economic Chamber and co-chair of Kazakh-Austrian Business Council.

During the meeting, the sides paid special attention to the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, including between business circles of Kazakhstan and Austria.

Akhmetov praised the experience of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. According to him, the Parliament of Kazakhstan is considering the bill to establish the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan. Noting the importance of this association for dialogue between business and government, the Prime Minister called for the full cooperation between businesses of the two countries. "The proposals from the business community will be supported by the Government," Akhmetov said.

Schenz noted the success of the first meeting of the Kazakh-Austrian Business Council, during which the "entrepreneurs shared their ideas and suggestions for the development of cooperation." According to him, the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Vienna in October 2012, contributes a lot to the development of bilateral relations, including trade and economic cooperation.
