OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2013. The Ministry of Electric Power Industry of the Russian Federation informed the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) that the Ministry’s Order “On Approving the List of Fuel-and-Energy Facilities Under the Jurisdiction and in the Field of Activities of Ministry of Electric Power Industry of the Russian Federation that are Subject to Departmental Control”, ceased to be in force.

In 2009, the FAS Commission found that the Ministry violated the antimonopoly law and requested to adjust the Order in line with the Federal Law “On Departmental Security Service”.

Judicial rulings confirmed legitimacy of FAS decision and determination. The Ministry of Electric Power Industry of the Russian Federation abolished the Order establishing the List of facilities subject to departmental control by the Ministry, which had infringed the interests of private security companies and facilities owners.
