OREANDA-NEWS.In the framework of the 50th International Paris Air Show (Le Bourget, France) Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and Bahrain leasing company AeroLease - Aircraft and Equipment Leasing Company signed a Letter of Intent on financing and\or leasing of existing and prospective deals for Sukhoi Superjet 100.

The Letter of Intent confirms interest of the world's leasing companies and financial institutes to invest deliveries of Sukhoi Superjet 100 to the Middle East and the Southeast Asia.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is the regional 100-seater aircraft of the new generation developed and manufactured by JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft with the participation of Alenia Aermacchi. On May 19, 2008, the SSJ100 made its first flight. The maximum cruising speed of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 is 0.81 Mach, and the cruising altitude is 12,200 m (40,000 feet). The length of the take-off strip for the base version of the aircraft is 1,731 m, for the version with the increased flight range - 2,052 m. The flight range for the base version is 3,048 km, for the version with the increased flight range - 4,578 km.

The shareholders of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft are JSC “Sukhoi” (75% - 1 share) (a UAC Company) and, as of April 7, 2009, its strategic partner - the Italian company of Alenia Aermacchi (25% + 1 share). The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) company was founded in 2000 in order to create new models of aircraft designed for civil purposes. The head office of the company is located in Moscow. SCA also has branches on the main production sites in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Novosibirsk and Voronezh. At the present time, the company's main project is the implementation of the programme for creating the family of the Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
