OREANDA-NEWS. A meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Jurgen Fitschen, Co-Chairman of the Management Board and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank took place today as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2013.

The parties highlighted the successful experience of interaction and addressed the prospects for joint activities, particularly in attracting funds for new investment projects of Gazprom.

Background

Deutsche Bank is a leading international investment bank that offers a wide range of investment, banking and asset management services. Based on the 2012 results, the Deutsche Bank assets exceeded EUR 2 billion, shareholders' equity – EUR 54 billion, net profit – EUR 665 million and capitalization – USD 43 billion.

Cooperation between Gazprom and Deutsche Bank began in 1997. Deutsche Bank acted as a co-manager of several Eurobond issues for Gazprom and also took part in financing the Nord Stream project.
