OREANDA-NEWS. Airport Tolmachevo JSC held its Annual Shareholders' Meeting in Novosibirsk. During the meeting, the shareholders approved the Annual Report for 2012, annual accounting reports and distribution of profit. Resolutions on the following issues were passed: on approval of the company's auditor for 2013, on election of the Board of Directors and on the Company's Audit Committee.

Following the results of 2012, Airport Tolmachevo JSC demonstrated sustainable growth of production results. Last year the passenger traffic growth rate reached 18% and the overall passenger volume totaled 3,266,745 people. The number of ATMs in the past year made up 37,070 (an increase by 7% compared to 2011). The total weight of cargo and mail handled in 2012 amounted 28,028 tons (+29%).

The operating revenue of the company in 2012 made up 6.869 bln. roubles which is a 99.5% gain compared to the year before. The net profit for the accounting period made up 1.046 bln. roubles - a 53.4% growth when compared to 2011. Thanks to such strong profit result, the company will be able to start realization of large-scale investment projects such as modernization of the international passenger terminal, construction of the container station and further development of the airport cargo infrastructure including establishment of the postal air hub.

In 2012 the following regular and charter flights on the new routes from NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport were launched: Munich, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Minsk, Dusseldorf, Sharjah and others. Operation of the flights was provided by such airlines as Belavia, Azerbaijan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Globus,S7 Airlines, UTair, Nordwind Airlines and Orenburg Airlines, while the Chinese airlinesYangtze River Express started operating cargo flights with technical stops. Overall production growth was also affected by increase of flight frequency on the existing routes (Beijing, Dubai, Moscow, Bishkek, Osh etc.) as well as by increased number of technical stops performed by foreign freight air carriers.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic airline capacity makes up 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers and handle over 35 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
