OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2013. The Compulsory Regulations in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia Order dated 04.03.2013 No. 62, came into effect.

The Compulsory Regulations in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don stipulate:

- rules for call and exit of vessels and rules of vessel navigation in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don;

- rules for navigation of vessels in the coverage area of Seaport of Rostov-on-Don including the rules for ice navigation at the seaport;

- rules for mooring of vessels in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don with the indication of their berths;

- rules for provision of environmental safety and quarantine in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don;

- rules for the usage of special means of communication in the territory and water area of Seaport of Rostov-on-Don.

Also the Compulsory Regulations contain information about:

- compulsory pilotage areas in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don;

- navigation period in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don;

- boundaries of the A1 sea area of the Global Marine Distress and Safety System;

- transmission of information by shipmasters of vessels staying in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don on the threat of illegal intrusion in the seaport;

- transmission of navigation and weather information to shipmasters of vessels staying in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don;

- processing of dangerous cargoes in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don,

and other information on the description of Seaport of Rostov-on-Don and its technical capacities regarding receiving and working of vessels.

In comparison with the previously existing Compulsory Regulations in Seaport of Rostov-on-Don approved by the FSE “Azov-Don State Basin Department of Waterways and Navigation” in 2007, the new edition was greatly amended in order to comply with the unified requirements to the structure and contents of compulsory regulations in the seaports of the Russian Federation approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
