OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2013. The Company Vladivostok Air transported 429 thousand passengers beginning January through May, 2013, of which 323 were carried on Russian domestic lines while 106 thousand — internationally. Growth in traffic since last year is 2%. 3,116 ton of cargo and mail was transported. Operational passenger traffic made 980 million passenger-kilometers.

Flight frequency of Vladivostok Air aircraft fleet is high: 4,425 flights were carried out during the 5 months, while payload flight time per TU-204-300 aircraft increased by 18%. A total of 18% more flights were performed during that time against last year.

Flight availability of the Airline scheduled service beginning January through May made 94.17%, a 6.92% increase against the same period of the past year. This is another indication of the high quality of Airline operations.

Achievement in the domain of operations is further reinforced by matching financial results. During the five months of the year 2013, Vladivostok Air, JSC cleared a profit in the amount of 88.9 million Roubles.

Besides, Vladivostok Air is shaping corporate operational plans for the period of fall and winter navigation of 2013–2014 that anticipate focusing effort on the Asia Pacific Region, carrying out a number of chartered flights to holiday-making locations popular with the people of the Pacific Maritime Territory: Thailand, Vietnam, Saipan. An important share of work for the period consists in the airline’s undertaking to implement the plans of its principal shareholder — participation in the establishment of the Far East Company.
