At present Ukraine and the Republic of Korea have achieved considerable success in bilateral cooperation, including politic, economic, and the humanities sectors. South Korea is one of the world leaders in corn import and enters the top ten largest importers of Ukrainian corn. This direction is strategically interesting for Ukraine’s export.

“Korea wishes to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine in the field of agriculture”, mentions the Ambassador, “Korea has already achieved high level of cooperation with Ukraine in the fields, such as space, transportation, automobile and IT-technologies. Korea recently imported crucial amount of grains from Ukraine. Korea wishes to import grains from Ukraine. Korea also hopes to contribute to expansion of Ukraine’s agriculture industries. So, the reason why I visit NIBULON today is to explore ways of cooperation between Korea and Ukraine in the field of agriculture. So far Korea only imported grain from Ukraine but in the future Korea wishes to invest in agriculture in Ukraine, such as to help Ukraine to expand the capacity of grain harvesting and modernization of storage, transportation and exporting of grains abroad. I wish Daewoo International play a very important role in building bridge for agricultural cooperation. Daewoo may cooperate with NIBULON in various ways”.

The guests expressed their interest in common construction of modern elevator complexes, transshipment terminals, and they invited NIBULON’s management to visit shipyards of the Republic of Korea and guaranteed that Ukrainian specialists would be interested in technological possibilities and contractual terms of cooperation in the shipbuilding field.

We have a lot of propositions as to fleet construction from foreign governments and companies”, stressed Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
