OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Salamatov, General Director of the World Trade Center Moscow and Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Committee for Economic Integration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the CIS, conducted negotiations with Volodymyr Yelchenko, Ukraine's Ambassador to the Russian Federation.

The meeting took place within the framework of the forthcoming session of the committee led by Mr. Salamatov. The discussion focused on collaboration prospects of the two countries. Mr. Salamatov and Mr. Yelchenko also discussed the importance of interaction between Ukraine's government and business in strengthening trade and economic ties between the two nations.

Vladimir Salamatov: “Ukraine is not just our closest neighbor and a kin nation, but also a long-term and reliable partner. Our trade with that country is growing from year to year. After Russia joined the WTO, we are having even more topics for discussion and joint work with Ukraine. Furthermore, we conduct fruitful talks on cooperation within the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Generally speaking, we've got what to be working on.”
