OREANDA-NEWS.  July 04, 2013. CISDI Engineering Group (CISDI Group) declared that, after two-month testing, the Hot Air Heating Device of the High-temperature High-pressure Autoclave, which was independently designed and developed by Xi’an Electric Furnace Research Company, a subsidiary of CISDI Group, was smoothly put into commissioning for Well Logging Company of PetroChina. The various indicators of the device were proved to be perfect.

This is the very first simulation testing device in the world for creating high-temperature and high-pressure environment by utilizing air heating device, which is deemed to be a technical upgrading in this regard, and is featured by safety, environment-friendly, energy-conservation, high-efficiency and low cost.

With the high-temperature and high-pressure device, the environmental temperature under the special working conditions can be simulated, so that the performance indicators of the tools and instruments under the similar stratum environment can be inspected and tested. This technology now is widely applied in the fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, coal, weapon and aerospace. With regard to the most of the high-temperature testing device currently used in both China and the foreign countries, the conduction oil is utilized as the heat-transfer medium and the compulsory circulation heating method is employed for temperature simulation.

But this device is characterized by relatively poor performance in terms of safety and environment protection because of: (i) complicated structure; (ii) high costs for management and operation; (iii) flammable, combustible and easily-leaking conduction oil. In addition, due to the limitation of the heat-transfer medium and the heating principle, the ultimate test temperature is low, the temperature-up and temperature-down cycle is long and the overall testing performance is limited.

Under the assistance of the high-pressure system, the new heating device developed by subsidiary of CISDI Group can complete the high-temperature and high-pressure simulation test (250? and 200 MPa) within 8 hours, saving one third of the testing time under the traditional method (175? and 140 Mpa). The error of temperature-control by the medium inside the autoclave is less than 1?. And the new testing method is recognized as easy operation, stable running and low cost.

The design work is one of the “13115” key scientific research projects of Shaaxi Province. To tackle the various technical problems, the members of the project team made great efforts in independent innovation, and applied for 6 patents (including 3 invention patents). Moreover they have developed several  proprietary technologies, for instance, Hot Air Heating Device of the High-temperature High-pressure Autoclave, Temperature Follow-up and Protection Control Technology, Heated Air Circulation and Frequency Converting Control Technology, and Temperature Cascade PID Technology. The successful development work of CISDI Group has filled the gap in the field of hot air heating device for the high-temperature high-pressure simulation facility in both China and foreign countries.
