OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2013. In the frames of a visit to Germany Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara has met with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Guido Westerwelle.

During the talks the parties paid main attention to the issues of further approaching of Ukraine to the European Union, in particular to the prospects of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in November of 2013, and also there was held exchange of thoughts in urgent issues of Ukrainian-German bilateral cooperation and global agenda.

Notably, Guido Westerwelle stressed there existed strategic interest of Germany in signing of the Association Agreement as a significant stage of Ukraine’s integration with the European Union and ascertained progress of our state in implementation of necessary reforms. In this connection the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs confirmed readiness of Germany to support Ukraine on this way.

Moreover, Leonid Kozhara made the speech on the topic of European integration and Ukraine’s OSCE chairmanship at the German Society for Foreign Policy.
