OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2013. It should in no case be passed the draft of the Labour Code, which limits the rights of the people. This was stated by Minister for Social Policy Nataliya Korolevska.

The Minister stressed that she welcomed the decision of the specialized committee of the Verkhovna Rada to reject the Labour Code in this form. "The Labour Code is primarily consensus between employers and trade unions, employees and the state. Interests of all parties have to be protected. Therefore, in no case be passed a project that limits the rights and capabilities of the people," Nataliya Korolevska said.

The Minister pointed out that the draft of the Labour Code should not repeat the path of the pension reform, which was not immediately perceived by public. "All were determined negatively against this reform from the beginning. Therefore even those useful rules, which it has, were not perceived," Nataliya Korolevska stressed.

She thought that during the drafting of the Code must be demonstrated a new quality of legislative work. "There should be a public debate, discussion. People should understand for what they need a new labour law, how it is better than the last," the Minister said.

The Minister also informed that she had invited the People's board members to actively participate in the discussion making of the draft Labour Code. "It is necessary that the public express its position: what is unacceptable, and what we should pay special attention on. Such decisions should be born in a dialogue, not by imposing the form of labour relations," Nataliya Korolevska stressed.
