OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2013. A new Ka-52K ship-based helicopter, which is being developed by Russian Helicopters Holding Company, will undergo anticorrosive treatment and will be fitted with folding blades and wings, the company’s press-service reports.

"A new modification of Ka-52 Alligator helicopter is being developed on behalf of the Russian navy (Ka-52K). It is planned that Ka-52K will undergo anticorrosive treatment and will be fitted with folding blades and wings and other technical solutions. Some of the helicopter’s systems will be adapted to the operation at sea", - said in the statement.

"The ship-based version of Alligator may appeal to countries that are focused on development of their navy. As for Russian navy, first of all, this helicopter is intended for deployment on-board the Mistral helicopter carriers", - the company noted.
