OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2013. Professionals of TATNEFT continue to implement the contract for provision of services designed to enhance oil recovery in the south-eastern sector of oil field No. 4 of NGDU "Goturdepeneft" in Turkmenistan.

The crews of JSC TATNEFT branch worked over and put into operation five wells in the first half of this year and produced 11,400 tons of additional oil.

The purpose of the contract is to involve the new equipment and technologies proven in the fields of JSC TATNEFT. This allows increasing crude oil production in the south-eastern part of Goturdepe oil field. The oil bearing deposits here have a complex tectonic structure with the presence of geological faults. In addition, crude oil production in this area is complicated by the high gas/oil ratio, paraffin depositions in the tubing string, sand plugs formation, corrosivity of the products lifted, non-standard design of wells and a variety of complications during operation of the downhole equipment.

TATNEFT Company possesses necessary equipment, expertise and a wide range of different technologies to solve the problems mentioned above. The plans envisage application of a sidetracking technology, patches for production casing failures isolation, etc.

Two crews have worked over 16 wells and put 10 wells into operation which produced more than 20,000 tons of additional oil.

The partnership in the area of crude oil and gas production between JSC TATNEFT and the State Concern "Turkmenneft" at Goturdepe field leads to strengthening of friendship and development of mutually beneficial cooperation of Tatarstan's and the Republic of Turkmenistan's oilmen.
