OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2013. VTB Bank and Boris Rotenberg’s companies have announced the consolidation of the Dynamo Moscow football and hockey clubs. There will be an initial transition period to ensure the maximally efficient and orderly unification of the clubs.

The project aims to ensure that the highest sports achievements are reached and to optimise finances and asset management. According to the parties’ agreements and the Dynamo national physical fitness and sport society’s recommendations, the decision was made to appoint Mr Rotenberg as the president of FC Dynamo Moscow and to create a special working group to oversee the clubs’ consolidation.

Former FC Dynamo Moscow President Gennady Solovyov has been appointed as the united club’s first vice president.

“I am sure that the consolidation of the Dynamo Moscow football and hockey clubs will enhance the efficiency of VTB Bank’s financial investment in the organisation. It should also help the club to achieve even better sports results, primarily in football,” First Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Vasily Titov said.
