OREANDA-NEWS. Kirovsky Zavod and the Ukrainian enterprise Krukov Car Building Plant signed a joint venture agreement. The new enterprise will assemble railway cars, trams and cargo containers.

The Russian-Ukrainian joint venture will manufacture passenger train cars, interregional and local speed electro- and diesel trains. According to the signed agreement it will also assemble modern metro cars, trams, escalators and cargo containers.

The joint venture agreement was signed by the CEO of the Kirov Group Georgy Semenenko and the President of the Krukov Car Building Plant Vladimir Prikhodko. “This is a strategic partnership that will lay the foundation for designing and building high-tech products and using technological know-how of both companies,” Semenenko said. Both enterprises expect the joint venture to help them strengthen their positions at the markets in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries.

Based in Kremenchug, Ukraine, Krukov Car Building Plant is an industrial enterprise that offers full production cycle from designing and manufacturing products to delivering them to clients with subsequent warranty service. The plant has developed a number of technological solutions and designing patents that are enhanced by well-equipped metallurgical, assembling and welding production lines. The enterprise is a key manufacturer and supplier of passenger and cargo cars in Ukraine.
