OREANDA-NEWS. Recent announcement of the Government of Russian Federation related to the fact that Russia would not extend quotas for pipe supplies from Ukraine in the second half of 2013 is not connected to domestic producers of stainless steel tubes and pipes.

The history of restrictions of stainless steel tubes and pipes supplies to Russia began in 2009 when 28,1% anti-dumping duty for import of seamless stainless steel tubes was introduced. In 2010 the duty size was changed to 9,9%, but not less than \\$1500 per 1 tone of tubes. In 2012 a decision to substitute the above import duty by country quotas was taken. A quota of 5400 tones was assigned to Ukraine for 2013 and major portion of the volume was allocated to Centravis. The quota is due to November 1st, 2014.
