OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2013. The commission set to assess the offers for the tender for construction of the Iasi–Ungheni gas pipeline meant to interconnect the Romanian and Moldovan national gas transportation systems, on the direction the Prut river – village of Todiresti, Ungheni district, started its activity on 22 July by examining the offers submitted so far, the Economics Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

The ministry’s services also informed that six companies from Austria, Italy, Romania, Turkey and Moldova had submitted their offers for the execution of the construction works of the Moldovan segment of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline. Four offers out of those six have been submitted by consortiums, composed of several companies, whereas two of them have been submitted by single companies.

The assessment commission will carry out its activity in line with the Practical Guide to Contract Procedures for EU External Actions (PRAG) and with the Moldovan legislation. Even if there is no deadline for the offers’ assessment, the contractor will be selected until 27 August 2013, when the construction works are to be launched.
