OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2013. "The consumption of natural gas by boiler should be reduced to ensure stable heat tariffs for households. Therefore, the Government pays special attention to the introduction of new technologies in housing and utility sector," vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said in Donetsk during a working meeting on the modernization of district heating systems.

"A positive example is the experience of boiler of DonetskMiskTeploMerezha MCE in Ionin Street, where a cogeneration unit is installed. As a result, the boiler in winter will be able to provide itself with electricity, and to provide with electricity other three boilers of the company in summer," Olexandr Vilkul said.

Due to the fact that the cogeneration unit can simultaneously produce heat and electricity," DonetskMiskTeploMerezha MCE will purchase electricity less.

"The economic impact of this project is over UAH 5 million per year. Thus, the savings will be used to further modernization of the enterprise that will improve the quality of public services," vice Prime Minister said.
