OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2013. A supervisory audit of the integrated management system (IMS) of industrial safety, occupational health and environment for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 was carried out at JSC TATNEFT. It was performed by the leading experts of JSC "Bureau Veritas Certification Rus".

This was the first external audit after the IMS recertification carried out in 2012. Auditors visited the production sites of NGDU "Almetyevneft" and Bugulma mechanical plant, as well as the departments and services of the executive management body of JSC TATNEFT. They noted strong points of the Company's integrated management system: management leadership, a high level of employees' involvement, introduction of innovative equipment, preventative-oriented measures, maintenance and development of the corporate culture and extension of the IMS for service and contracting organizations. The auditors emphasized the gradual reduction of the environmental impact, high environmental responsibility at every workplace.

As a result of the complete analysis of the JSC TATNEFT's IMS operation the auditors delivered an opinion that the "integrated management system of industrial safety, occupational safety and environmental protection has been implemented, is operating and being improved in accordance with the standards audited" and recommended to extend the certificate validity for another year.

The Integrated Management System has been implemented and operated at JSC TATNEFT since 2006. During this time the Company has twice passed the IMS recertification (2009 and 2012) and annual audits for compliance with the requirements of international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 with positive conclusions.
