OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian Council of Ministers by resolution #659 dated July 26, 2013 has set the minimum subsistence wage at Br1.26 million (USD 142), 5.4% above the previous limit.

The subsistence level has been set at 1,132,000 rubles (USD 127.6) for workforce, 849,900 (USD 95.8) rubles for pensioners, 877,220 rubles (USD 99) for children under 3 years of age, 1,158,000 rubles (USD 130.6) for children aged 3 to 6; 1,143,000 rubles (USD 128.9) for children aged 6 to 18, and 1,241,000 rubles (USD 139.9) for students.

The subsistence wage is used as base value for calculating pensions, different sorts of fees and benefits for families with children.
