OREANDA-NEWS. Priazovskoye, Primorsk and Berdyansk raions hosted the first meetings of task groups for development of social partnership strategies 2014-2016 between DTEK and the areas where wind farms of the company's subsidiary, Wind Power, are being built.

The task groups include local and regional officials, public representatives, experts and specialists of DTEK and Wind Power. Taking into account the best prospects for regional development and the most pressing social issues, they will make up a list of projects where DTEK will invest in each area within the next three years.

DTEK developed its first three-year strategies of social partnership with most areas of its operations in 2012. The company makes social investments primarily in energy efficiency in utility sector, health care, development of business environment, community engagement and support of the social infrastructure. DTEK plans its social investments for three years to make them effective and efficient and implement important systemic projects able to improve lives of many residents.

“In our social partnership policy, we decided to quit one-off projects with unclear future. Social partnership should be systemic, thus contributing to development of regions of our presence,” says Wind Power CEO Guerman Ainbinder.

On 16 August 2013, task groups will hold their second meetings in Primorsk and Berdyansk raions;

on 27 August 2013, in Priazovskoye raion, Zaporozhye Oblast. DTEK expects to finalise the strategies of social partnership with the areas by late September 2013. These areas include Botievo village and Primorsky Posad village in Priazovskoe raion (Botievo wind farm), Primorsk town (Primorsk wind farm) and Novopetrovka village in Berdyansk raion (Berdyansk wind farm).
