OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ foreign trade deficit reached USD 1.682 billion in January-June 2013.

In January-June 2012 Belarus had a foreign trade surplus of USD 1.921 billion, the source reminded.

In H1 2013 Belarus’ exports shrank by 24% to USD 19.212 billion, while imports decreased by 10.5% to USD 20.895 billion. The trade turnover went down 17.5% to USD 40.107 billion.

The deficit in trade with Russia totalled USD 3.061 billion, with the trade turnover going down 14.1% to USD 19.401 billion. Exports to Russia rose by 5.5% to USD 8.170 billion, imports shrank by 24.3% to USD 11.231 billion.
