OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2013. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca accompanied by the head of the Bostavan Wineries Group, Victor Bostan, and CEO of Horizon Capital Natalie Jaresko visited the section of processing and preserving grapes, as well as the cellars of Bostavan Winery. The director of the company showed the prime minister the investments made over the last years and the modern technology, the government’s communication and press relations department has reported.

Natalie A. Jaresko informed about a new investment worth 2.7 million dollars in Bostavan Wineries Group, in order to support the process of extending the sales on the main export markets. This will create about 100 new jobs. The total sum of Horizon Capital investments in Bostavan Wineries Group amounted to 17.5 million dollars.

"Bostavan Wineries Group focused its efforts to enhance the popularity of the wine-making industry from Moldova on the foreign markets. We are willing to back them in order to consolidate its positions of leader on the principal regional markets. Moldova has a government with a friendly attitude towards investments, which is very good. I am glad that the government had chosen to focus on the flourishing of the economy," Natalie A. Jaresko said.

Prime Minister Iurie Leanca welcomed the investment announced by the company.

"This is an investment in the extension of business, which proves that Moldova is able to provide development opportunities. I am happy that 100 new jobs will be created by this investment. Also, the production capacity will grow, and hence, the company’s export potential," Iurie Leanca said.

The prime minister wished them much success: "May you spread the fame in as many countries as possible, yet do not forget about the Moldovan market either.".

The founder and head of the Bostavan Wineries Group, Victor Bostan, thanked the shareholders for the continuous support provided to the company’s extension. He stressed that Wineries Group had witnessed a 25-per cent increase in 2012, and is to record a growth of more than 20 per cent this year.

"This investment will be for modern equipments and grapes processing. New equipments will be bought to process grapes and preserve the wine. A part of the money will be for the development of the sales markets," Victor Bostan specified.

Presently, Bostavan Wineries Group annually produces one million bottles of wine and is leader among the Moldovan wine-makers. The goods of Bostavan Wineries Group are sold in over 20 countries, with the main market being the European Union’s one (Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Baltic States).
